Account & Security
Your account settings cover who you are, how you sign in, what Ascend holds about you, and how to get it back or delete it. They live under Settings, reached from your avatar in the top-right corner.

What is where
| Setting | Where | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Settings → Account | Your profile and preferences |
| Security | Settings → Security | Password, two-factor authentication, account deletion |
| Privacy & Data | Settings → Privacy & Data | Export everything, or delete your account |
| Notifications | Settings → Notifications | Notification preferences and the email digest |
| API Keys | Settings → API Keys | Tokens for programmatic access |
Good practice
- Use a unique password. Not one you use anywhere else.
- Turn on two-factor authentication. It protects the account even if the password leaks.
- Give each person their own account. Shared logins make the activity log useless and cannot be revoked individually.
- Revoke API tokens you are no longer using. A token is a standing key to your workspace.
