Sharing and favourites
Two different things decide where a dashboard shows up. Visibility controls who is allowed to open it. Favourites control whether it appears in your own sidebar. Changing one does not change the other.
Visibility
Set on the dashboard, from ⋮ → Settings.
- Team — every member of the workspace can open it. Use this for a shared project view or a team homepage.
- Private — only you can open it. It stays out of everyone else's list.
Team visibility is a read arrangement, not an invitation: a colleague sees the dashboard in the list, opens it, and gets the same cards you do — narrowed by whatever they themselves are allowed to see.
Favourites
Favourites are per person. Starring a dashboard puts it in your Favorites section in the sidebar and does nothing to anyone else's.
To favourite from the list
- Go to Dashboards
- Hover a dashboard card — a star appears in the corner
- Click it. The star fills in
Or use the card's ⋮ → Add to favorites.
Favourited dashboards sit in the sidebar's Favorites section alongside your favourited pages and databases.
Removing a favourite
Click the filled star again, use ⋮ → Remove from favorites, or click the star next to the entry in the sidebar. It disappears from the sidebar immediately and stays in the Dashboards list.
Duplicating instead of sharing
If a teammate wants your layout but their own filters, ⋮ → Duplicate is usually the better answer than a shared dashboard. It copies the dashboard and every card, and the copy is theirs to change.
